Mosey Down Main Street Returns
Friends of Downtown kicks off its 8th season for this series of distinctive street fairs on Saturday, May 9, at 5pm. In addition to the lineup of great live music, local food vendors, artisan crafts and fresh LBC beers, we'll be introducing our new Mosey Masskrugstemmen Championships. We'll be holding multiple rounds each Mosey Saturday in 2015 with the top 3 winners from each month advancing to the championship to be held at the final Mosey on September 5. As always, admission to Mosey Down Main Street is FREE; however, there is a $10 entry fee for the Masskrugstemmen contest which includes 1 liter of LBC draft beer. Must be 21+ with ID to enter.
Pop Up Menus in Beer Hall
We've been experimenting with some new menu concepts in our Beer Hall kitchen. The first trial took place at the last One Size Fits All comedy show on April 17, and was a rousing success. Look for more pop up menu concepts coming to the Beer Hall in the future.
We're happy to announce a few in-house promotions here at Lafayette Brewing: Long time manager Kate Olakowski has been promoted to General Manager. Kate has been with us for over a decade and has been in her new position since January. You may have also noticed a new face behind the glass recently as we welcomed Alex Pease to our brewery crew earlier this month. Alex formerly worked in the LBC kitchen and has been training under Brew Master Greg as he learns his way around the brewery.
The May event on our beer festival calendar is the inaugural Indiana Michigan Craft Beer Mayfest at Toscana Park in Granger, IN. Stop by our booth and say "hi" to Hugh & Rebecca as they share LBC beer w/ the masses. Complete information and tickets can be found at: http://inmicraftbeermayfest.com
