Happy New Year! We wish you all the best for 2012. And to help start the year off right, we've got some fantastic new acts set to perform on our 2nd Floor stage. We'll kick into gear with the January edition of Hoot Night featuring I-Exist, The Mound Builders and Threat Level on Friday, January 13. Show time is 9 pm and cover is only $5. On Saturday, January 14, we welcome an improv comedy team out of Chicago with Second City roots: Mansical. Please note- this is an afternoon show with a start time of 3 pm. Tickets are only $8. On Thursday, January 19, Science on Tap returns for their monthly presentation. The program starts at 6 pm and admission is FREE. On Friday, January 20, One Size Fits All will be performing their monthly show here at LBC. Show time is 9 pm and cover is $8/each or 2-for-$15. On Saturday, January 21, Friends of Bob present Ana Egge and Band. Show time is 8 pm. Tickets are on sale now: $10 advance/$12 day of show. We'll close the month out with a host of events on Saturday, January 28. First up, the 1st Annual Snowsey Down Main Street will be taking place in downtown Lafayette from noon until 6 pm. Look for live music in various venues throughout downtown (including LBC); merchant specials; and sledding down Main Street! That same evening, we'll be hosting the swinging sounds of the Big Swing Band. Show time is 9 pm and cover is only 6 bucks. And finally, our brewery staff will also be in Indianapolis at the State Fairgrounds presenting our wares at the Brewers of Indiana Guild Winterfest. This charitable beer tasting event featuring the bulk of Indiana's craft brewers along with craft beers from across the country. Winter Warmer 2012:
LBC Winter Warmer 2012 is set for Saturday, February 11, 2011. This annual charity beer tasting will feature samples of distinctive craft brew from 15-17 of Indiana's artisan brewers; a commemorative tasting glass; a meal from our infamous Beer-B-Que Bar; raffles; contests and more! Tickets are SOLD OUT for this year's event. We look forward to seeing everyone in February.
From the Brewery:
We've still got a diverse line-up of specialty beers on tap, including: Bushman's Bitter; Michinook APA; 68 Rock (a beefed-up version of Prophet's Rock) and our latest release- Big Boris Barleywine. This year's Boris features Galaxy and Chinook hops and weighs in at a hefty 10.25% ABV 84 IBU! We've also anticipating the return of East Side Bitter due out late the first week of the month, and we've got a new English style IPA in the tanks for release later this month, as well.
We've finally received word on our hop contract from the 2011 growing season: Our supplier expects to receive their delivery sometime before 1/10. That means we should have our first batch of the new Amarillo and Centennial hops in house by mid-month. If all goes well, we hope to have Tippecanoe Common Ale and Eighty-Five American Ale back on tap in early February! Yeah!

We've got a delicious new Kid's Menu coming out on Monday, January 8. Look for some new favorites like our Cheeseburger and our Mexican Grilled Cheese along with some tasty (and healthy) new sides including a fresh fruit cup and tater tots (okay, so their not all so healthy). And the release is just in time for "Kids Eat Free" day!
