From the Brewery:
New seasonals in the tanks: Currently, we have a batch of Star City White in the fermenter. Our take on a Berliner style weisse, this beer was brewed with pilsner, wheat, spelt & acidulated malts and mash-hopped with whole Centennial cones. The result is a refreshingly sour wheat beer- tart with undertones of wheat and subtle spiciness of the spelt. Hop bitterness and flavor is almost non-existant as the only hop addition was made to the mash tun. ABV 4.2% IBU 9 Look for it's release sometime mid-month.
We are extremely honored and excited to be maturing a very special batch of dark ale, known simply as Dharma, from which we will donate $ .50 from every glass sold to Wolf Park. Named after one the park's residents who recently had pups, this robust ale was brewed with pale, toasted, caramunich, crystal and de-husked roasted malts to create a full-bodied dark ale. A very modest dose of Nugget and Chinook hops add a touch of bitterness to balance the malt. The resulting ale is rich and malty with hints of nuts, toffee & chocolate. ABV 8.1% IBU 25 We'll have much more fanfare as we get closer to this beer's release late in May.
